Galileo will consist of 30 satellites, six more than the US Global Positioning System (GPS). The system will offer several services from 2014, becoming fully operational in 2020 when a constellation of 27 satellites, supported by three spares, is deployed.

Lawyers and gps unite...

The police were unwilling to pursue the case, but they suggested that he send the data to the driver's insurance company. He did so within a day, and the company took responsibility for the accident.

According to an attorney who specializes in bike and car accidents, James Reed of the Ziff Law Firm in New York, said, "It's important for people who are representing the injured people or the insurance companies to know how to obtain and analyze the data. Frankly, it's probably going to be a booming new industry for experts."

The police accused Sahas Katta of going more than 40 mph in a 25 mph limit, according to the story, which was authored by Katta himself. Katta was a little taken aback. He said he felt sure he wasn't going quite that fast. Fortunately, his Motorola Droid cell phone enjoyed Google MyTracks, according to his account.
